The month of December symbolizes generosity and solidarity. Unfortunately, not all children experience the joy of receiving gifts. In anticipation of the Sinterklaas celebration, the hotels of International Hotel Capital Partners (IHCP) have initiated the ‘Sinterklaas Project’ to bring happiness to the lives of less fortunate children.
The participating hotels include Moxy Amsterdam Airport, Renaissance Amsterdam Airport, Moxy The Hague, Residence Inn by Marriott The Hague, and Mercure Amersfoort. Gifts, big or small, are collected by the employees of all IHCP hotels. Each location collaborates with local organizations, such as the local food bank and Sintvoorieder1, an organization dedicated to children in difficult circumstances. These donations are presented on behalf of the hotels within each region.
More than hospitality
Remco van der Jagt, General Manager of Moxy The Hague, states, “As Moxy The Hague and Residence Inn by Marriott The Hague, we believe it’s important to show with our teams that we are not only hospitable to our guests. Creating a welcoming environment for everyone, including those who live nearby, is what matters.”
Deeper involvement
Herman Klok, General Manager at Moxy Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, adds, “With this collection initiative, we aim not only to gather gifts but also to demonstrate a deeper involvement with the communities in which we operate.”
